    Air Passenger Duty

It is now very clear that the Caribbean  which is very dependent on tourism has been disadvantaged by the impact of the Air Passenger Duty system introduced in 2009.  The main reason being the way in which the system has been administered. I am supporting the proposal by the CARICOM states that the UK should designate the hub of the region as Bermuda and as a result reband the region to band B the same as the USA. I have written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and hope the government will act urgently on this matter.
